What personal information do we collect?
Visiting: You are not required to provide personally identifiable information to visit the dremel.com site.
Product Registration: You will be asked to provide personally identifiable information such as your name, address, email address, etc. on the Dremel product registration form in order to register the products which you have purchased.
E-Mail Sign Up: The information that you enter in the product registration section is collected by one of our third party service providers. If you complete the "forward to a friend" feature on our email newsletters, we will forward an email to the friend's address that you provide asking whether your friend would like to receive our newsletters. Our third party service providers are not authorized by Dremel to retain, use for its own purposes, or in any way provide to other third parties the information that it collects and compiles for Dremel.
Retailer and Service Center Locator: You may provide us with personally identifiable information such as your zip code and phone number if you use the Retailer or Service Center Locator sections of our site. The information which you enter in these sections will be managed for us by one of our third party service providers, who will provide you with retailer and service center locations which correspond to the information which you enter. Although we collect information regarding the total number of visitors to these sections, we do not currently collect, retain or use any of the information which you provide in these sections.
Contact Us Section: You may provide us with personally identifiable information in order to allow us to answer a question that you ask us through the site. The information you provide us is used to contact you with an answer to your question. When you contact us, we keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
Mailing List: You may provide us with personally identifiable information such as your name, address, email address, etc. on the Dremel mailing list registration in order to receive communications from Dremel detailing news, updates, promotions and savings. That information that you enter in the mailing list registration is collected by Dremel and sent to one of our third party service providers, where it is viewable only to Dremel employees and employees of such third party service provider.
Career Page: You may provide us with personally identifiable information if you submit your resume to us in the "Career Page" section of our site. All resumes which are submitted to us through this site are first collected by a third party service provider, and then submitted to us. Our third party service providers are not authorized by us to retain, use for its own purposes, or in any way provide to third parties the information which it collects and compiles for us. Please note that the Career Page section of our site is intended for use and submission by residents of the United States only.
International Data Transfer: Robert Bosch LLC may transfer your personal data to its parent company in Germany, Robert Bosch GmbH, and to any worldwide affiliates when processing data. We may also transfer your data to a third party outside your country of origin to the extent regulated in this privacy statement.
IP Addresses: Dremel compiles IP addresses -- the location of your computer on the Internet -- for administrative and analytical purposes. Dremel does not routinely collect any personally identifiable information through the compilation of your IP address or the location of your computer on the Internet.
